What we did
The problem to solve
The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) required independent acceptance testing of the newly built Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) website.
The website was designed for a broad range of users, including those with low literacy, non-English speakers, people with disabilities. Users may be accessing the site from a range of devices, including mobile phones and older devices. Accessibility was a critical feature to test.
How we solved it
Annex worked with the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) to provide independent testing of the newly built Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) website. There was a two week timeframe for the testing.
We met with key stakeholders from the ART to gain an understanding of the key features and risks for the website. We then developed a test strategy and test plan, which we circulated for review and acceptance.
We communicated closely with the ART team to clarify requirements. A summary of the issues identified was provided at the midpoint of the project, as well as notifying the ART of critical defects as early as possible. We held a mid-project check in to ensure testing was progressing as expected.
We took a risk based approach to testing to ensure good coverage of the highest priority features within the timeframe. We conducted a mixture of exploratory and scripted testing. This included thorough accessibility testing against WCAG 2.2.
We provided a comprehensive test summary report, which included:
The outcome
Annex conducted independent acceptance testing of the new ART website within a tight timeframe. The project stakeholders were very pleased with our communication and with the comprehensive test summary report. The ART website testing was a short, tidy piece of work which highlights the testing expertise we have at Annex.
